The IP Address is a public record and designed to be public to everybody. This identifier identifies you as a person and makes abuse cases easier to follow. Imagine if IP would not be public then how would we be able to track abuse cases?
There is no way to hide an IP address but there is a way to cloak the IP address with different ones. You need to use a VPN provider in order to have a different IP address.
Another motivation to use a VPN is to unblock websites. Some websites do service only certain geographical locations of the world and will not serve you if you are not from that country/region.
